Your Stories Matter
Community Observer thrives on stories from residents like you. We welcome submissions about local events, achievements, sports, community organizations, and everything that makes your neighborhood special.
What We're Looking For
Community Events
Upcoming festivals, fundraisers, town meetings, library programs, and community gatherings.
Youth Sports
Game results, tournament highlights, team achievements, and player spotlights.
Local Business News
New openings, expansions, community partnerships, and business achievements.
Personal Achievements
Graduations, awards, promotions, military service, and community recognition.
Organization Updates
Club meetings, volunteer opportunities, charity drives, and membership drives.
Submission Types
News Articles
Full stories with details, quotes, and background information. Up to 800 words.
Photo Submissions
High-resolution images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF) with captions and photo credits. Action shots and candid moments preferred.
Event Announcements
Brief announcements with date, time, location, and contact information. 100-200 words.
Calendar Listings
Recurring events, meeting schedules, and ongoing programs. Include all relevant details.
Submission Guidelines
Content Guidelines
- Keep content family-friendly and community-focused
- Include accurate dates, times, and contact information
- Provide proper attribution for quotes and sources
- Write in third person for news articles
- Avoid promotional language in news content
Technical Requirements
- Submit text in Word document or email body
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 DPI minimum) in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format
- Include photo captions and photographer credit
- Provide your contact information for follow-up
- Submit at least two weeks before publication
Publication Schedule & Deadlines
Weekly Publication
Community Observer is published every Wednesday and delivered to homes by Friday.
Submission Deadline
All content must be submitted by 5:00 PM two Wednesdays prior to publication.
Event Listings
Submit event announcements at least two weeks in advance for best placement. Earlier submissions encouraged.

Community Observer reserves the right to edit all submissions for length, clarity, and style. We strive to maintain the original intent and voice of contributors while ensuring consistency with our editorial standards.
All submissions become the property of Community Observer upon publication. We may use submitted content in print, online, and promotional materials.
We do not guarantee publication of all submissions. Content selection is based on newsworthiness, community interest, space availability, and editorial judgment.
